Put the “Self” back into SelfCare
For many of us when it comes to the words self care the word neglect is not too far behind. We tend to forget ourselves because let’s face it , most of us live to take care of others whether it’s being a mom , a devoted spouse, dedicated worker or a combination of all we tread lightly in the self care department. I am guilty of this and if you are too, I have some tips on how you can put yourself as the main focus even if it’s just for a little while each day.
1. Buy yourself flowers!
While running errands or grocery shopping for the family’s weekly groceries stop by the flowers section. My go to store is Acme. Great pick and they are always on a good sale. Flower selections are fresh and allows me to pick 2 to 3 bundles of flowers to make my favorite bouquet for my table. It may seem like something small but you deserve to treat yourself to some roses!
2. 10 minute rant session!
When I say rant I do not mean yell everything you want out loud but one of the best ways I decompress and help my mental is to take 10 minutes and write/type out everything that happened in the day that is worth mentioning. If it’s something good I get to brag about it ( to my self lol) or if it’s bad I get to get everything I need off my chest and let it go. I use my iPad and downloaded an app that allows me to journal everyday! I write anything that comes to mind. No it’s never in any specific order or any organization of any kind is used. It’s doesn’t have to be pretty , unless you plan on turning it into a book!
3. Pamper that skin!
Yes ! We have to go there, add a scrub to your shower routine. We know time is limited but trust me , take that extra 5 minutes in the shower and add a body scrub to your routine. If you don’t have a routine this is a great way to start. My favorite at the moment is our pineapple paradise foaming body scrub! Truly elevate your senses. Leaves you feeling so smooth from the foam removing dry/ dead skin cells. Always great to layer with one of our luxurious body oils.

. 1 cup sugar
. 1/2 cup coconut oil
. 3-5 drops of essential oil
